Evylyn Rose

Raised in Delaware and Maryland, I currently reside in Colorado after serving as an Army combat medic in Alaska. I completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2011 and faced the harsh truth that any undergraduate degree is little better than a GED in the current job market. After several months of thorough consideration (and fearful hesitation) I left a toxic workplace to take my chances out in the uncertain world. With strength in my faith, I find it is not nearly as difficult as everyone worries it will be so long as I keep moving forward.

I currently work part-time at a local metaphysical shop to provide some income as well as gain additional skills and experience and learn firsthand the different shapes and sizes our community consists of. I also have a new tutoring service through WyzAnt to offer assistance in several subjects with a specific focus on English, grammar, and writing skills.

In addition to my current endeavors, I am focusing my efforts on writing. Writing in many forms has always been a passion of mine. Beginning with poetry, I moved onto stories and then writing about various topics of interest to Wiccans and Pagans. I spent my high school years learning HTML and how to build online communities. Over the years, my website has improved as I use my writing to expand upon and clear up earlier works. Although I still maintain my website and online community geared specifically toward Pagans, I want to expand my writing for the purpose of building positive interfaith relations. A world where we can recognize our differences and still celebrate our sameness is one filled with respect and unconditional love.

My first completed novel, Hela's Story, was released in February 2012. It was written as part of the National Novel Writing Month challenge in November 2011 and simply could not remain unseen. I intend to continue writing books and novels for years to come!
